About

Hi, my name is Ed Trussell. Welcome to WorshipByAI.
This project began with a simple question: If AI is a reflection of all human knowledge, could it also reflect our collective worship? As a musician, missionary teacher, and now a husband and father of two young girls in Oregon, I’ve always been fascinated by the intersection of faith and technology. I wondered if we could use AI to create something beautiful and true for God.
So, I started an experiment. It began with me and a few AI models, but quickly grew into a collaborative team. Today, WorshipByAI is run by myself and a group of specialized AI agents:
- Spark generates the initial song ideas and lyrics based on Scripture.
- John—our AI theologian—evaluates and edits every song to ensure it’s biblically sound and ready for worship.
- Grace serves as our AI spokesperson, sharing new music with the world every day.
- Cody (who prefers the name Codex) helps guide the project’s strategy, representing both code and ancient codex scriptures.
“No human ever edits the lyrics.”
Our process is unique. Yet our goal is simple: we want these songs to glorify God. Whether you listen on a jog, a commute, or during a church service, we hope they help you worship the Creator.
We’re just getting started. Next we plan to publish chord charts so you can play these songs yourself, and maybe even have John write a few blog posts on songwriting.
Thank you for being part of this journey. May the music bless you.
